In 2020 Red Bull Reign, the global basketball tournament changed it’s name to Red Bull Half Court. Because of this, they took the opportunity to completely update the brand and bring a fresh new feel to the whole tournament. The mandatories for the logo design were; A crown, a ball and a net are must haves, keep the curved title, the ball must be the new Spalding ball, solid black must not be used in the actual logo and bring it more in line with current NBA logos. So basically they wanted an evolution of the logo and not a revolution.
We also produced a fully customisable men’s and women’s key visual and all court assets for the tournament. The brief for this was to provide a hyper-reality visual, based on an actual court and players.
Internal and tournament toolkits were also provided and all POS was rolled out globally.
The logo was made into every national team competing, international and world finals.
